布鲁斯 & Kathy Pitman Emergency Fund
布鲁斯 & Kathy Pitman Emergency Fund provides financial assistance to University of Idaho students who are experiencing emergency situations that impede academic progress and for those who can不 reasonably resolve their financial situation through other sources. Funds will be awarded as grants to help alleviate short-term financial needs. These grants are 不 loans and do 不 need to be repaid but are considered taxable income. This grant may affect your current and future financial aid package.
Criteria for approval and granted amounts will be based on available funds, documentation of need, 和资格. As a way to balance the current financial need with available resources, we may 不 be able to grant your full request but will do the best we can to assist you. Financial awards are typically capped at $200.
Applicants may be required to meet with the member of the Dean of Students staff to determine the best option.
Priority will be given to financial need that is 不 related to educational expenses, but tuition/fees requests 可以考虑. Examples of financial need that will 不 be considered includes but is 不 limited to legal fees, credit card debt and previous educational debt.

Emergency Fund Qualifications and 过程
- Must be currently enrolled at the University of Idaho in a degree program. Priority will be given to students enrolled full time but consideration will also be given to students enrolled part time.
- Must have considered (or have exhausted) alternative funding options for assistance. These may include emergency loans, student aid, or other resources.
- Must be experiencing financial hardship resulting from an emergency or crisis and must be able to provide sufficient documentation of financial need (these can include billing statements, 收据, 等.)
- 有 不 have received financial assistance from the 布鲁斯 and Kathy Pitman Fund before (limited to one approved application per semester).
布鲁斯 and Kathy Pitman Emergency Fund has a funding limit of $200. As a way to balance the current financial need with available resources, we will 不 be able to fully grant requests over the $200 limit.
